KCAA Womens Track Championships Bromley 24 June 2009

Congratulations to Rona, who continued reinforce her postition as one of the County's top athletes with a win at the KCAA Womens track 3,000 metres last Wednesday in a time of 10.13.8. Well Done Rona! Tina

South Kent Relay Series - Fowlmead Park Tues 23 June 2009

Just a reminder that we will be at the South Kent Relays at Fowlmead Park, Sholden on Tuesday. As a result, there will be no training at the club on Tuesday. Normal training will resume on Thursday.Tina

Race for Life 21 June 2009

A big thankyou to everyone who turned out to support this year's Race for Life event either as a runner or a marshal. The organisers very much appreciate the clubs support for the event which aims to raise over £100,000 for Cancer Research UK.A special mention should go Granville who puts in so much effort to ensure the success of the event and to Ray Johnson and Folkestone Rotary Club for their support. The winner of this year's race was Helen Wheeler, followed by Nikki Smyth with Helen Hixon and Trudi Curd in 6th and 7th place respectively well done to them and also to all of our runners out there today. I would also like to say a big thank you to Trudi, Julie Gibbs,Alison Simmons,Tina Hogg, Linda Rogerson- Heath, Rebecca Fuggle and Alison Jelly and any other club members who turned out to run the Race for Life training this year.Tina

BMC Nike Grand Prix 13 June 2009

Congratulations to Rona who competed in the BMC Nike Grand Prix in Watford at the weekend. Rona ran in the 1500 metres Open competition in a fantastic PB time of 4mins 38secs and was sixth overall in her race in a tough International field.Tina

Folkestone 10 mile

The Folkestone 10 mile is run every year on Good Friday and is our key event of the year. The race attracts around 500 runners from all over Kent and further afield. Full information and entry form are available in our dedicated Folkestone 10 mile page.

 

Joining info

We are a small friendly athletics club catering for all ages and ability levels of runners in Folkestone and surrounding areas in Kent. We have over 60 members of whom nearly half are women.

 

To join just come along to one of our training sessions. Train with us for a couple of weeks and if you want to join then we can take all the required details then. Come along to Folkestone training ground or contact us if you want more information.
